CommonKindness.com - New coupon website?

Started by Lauren 4/30/2012 11:42:37 PM

I recently came across this website when browsing another coupon blog, and I had never seen this one before!

http://www.commonkindness.com/printable-grocery-coupons-3

There are three different coupon "galleries" at the top, each has multiple pages of printable coupons. Some of the coupons are for items I've never seen coupons for before, so I wanted to see if anyone else knew if this was a legitimate source, or an elaborate scam or something.

There is also a function where when you register you select a local charity to sponsor with your coupon usage.

I guess if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? But this sounds pretty awesome!

It's for real.  I don't think a lot of people know about it yet.  Mostly, I've just printed coupons from gallery 1. They finally made the Pepsi coupons available & now you can print them again!!  Some of the coupons in that gallery you have to wait 90 days to print again.  I wonder if that has to do with the amount of money that company is giving what ever charity you choose?

I used it last week and printed a few coupons for chips.  I could not find any charities listed for Atlanta areas (which I thought was strange) so I ended up just choosing any.  At first I thought it might not be a legit site but the coupons even have the manufacturers name on them.

Cindy,

I couldn't find any either until I skipped the step of choosing a category.  I found Family Promise of Gwinnett after that which our church hosts a couple times a year & chose them as my charity.

If you use the choose a category you must need to know exactly which category the charity chose your looking for when they signed up.

I know that Jenny has linked to some of those coupons, and also announced them in her updates. I have also read in the comments sections of a store ad post that the coupons would not scan. If you look at each different gallery, you will see that each is similar to to either Red Plum, Smartsource, or Coupon Network. I just think that maybe they still have to work out the kinks.

I am going to sign my non-profit up to raise funds. We'll see what happens.

Beth,

Thanks for the info.  I'm going to change mine cause I love helping out neighbors!  (I use to live in Gwinnett.)

I have printed from this site twice, but this last time when I printed, the coupons had no info on them... they had barcodes & exp dates, but no pic or specifications or indicating WHAT product they were for. I emailed to see if these could be reset for me, or if they could snail mail the faulty-printed Qs. Hope I hear back!

I chose to support Org for Transformative Farming :)

Kristen - The first time I printed their coupons from gallery 1 I clipped 4 of them.  The 4th one printed 1/3 on the first sheet (the expiration date) and the rest of it on another sheet! (Too bad I couldn't just tape it together!)  That was so odd & such a waste!  The last couple of times I printed them I've only clipped 2 or 3 to make sure that didn't happen again.  I hated wasting that coupon!!!

I guess they're just figuring it all out.

I would love for this to be legitimate but seems odd that so many are having issues. Has anyone had any problems using them in the stores? Has anyone emailed Jenny directly about the question of legitimacy? If anyone finds anything further I'd like to know.

I've used them many times already with no problems. Love that they have coupons that nobody else has!

Hey there!  I recently had a long series of emails with the company running the site and am in toss up as to how I feel about them.  There offers are legitimate, but they have a lot of software issues and even security issues... so for now I will only link if it's a crazy coupon etc. but won't be pushing them in any stand alone posts.

The one thing that concerns me is that when I mentioned nicely the security issues they got incredibly hostile going into legal threats about liable... you either have a security issue or you don't but pointing it out isn't illegal.

That was probably more than you wanted to know, but for now my vote is to use sparingly and be cautious.
