The Morality Of Using Competitor's Coupons

Started by Sue , author of SavinSource 11/30/2011 7:22:08 AM

I shop Publix and Bi-Lo, and occasionally use a competitor's coupon. Since these stores do allow this, I think it is perfectly alright. However, I was reading about where someone used nine $5 competitor's coupons on an item that was 5.24, and I just feel like this was morally wrong. The store will not be reimbursed for these, so they definitely lost money on the deal. I realize that it was the store's decision to accept or not accept them, but I think that we, as responsible couponers, should not take advantage of these store's generous policies. I am afraid that it will prompt them to re-think accepting competitor's coupons altogether. Am I wrong for feeling this way?
