I wonder if you visited the newspaper office in person if they would take you more seriously. I know it's super frustrating and maybe if you are "in their face" (in a civil way of course), they might start investigating the matter a little better.

As for Mary, well I wish there was a little emoticon for mooning someone.

I'm a member of another message board, and we have a name for people that only pop up when they have negative things to say. We call them "Trolls"

My husband goes out every Sunday to get me our papers for a corner newspaper salesman.  I just tell him how many for that weekend.  So far, knock on wood.. I have gotten all my inserts.

This past Sunday, I asked for 4 newspapers.  He got 4 for me.  The funny story to this was; a man and women ahead of him asked for 20.  Then the man behind him asked for 100!!!  He came home and said, I felt like I should have been asking for more newspapers then 4.  Should I go back?  I laughed!  He commented that I want you to get the best deals, too!  Sweet, HUH?!*?

I called the customer service # for both papers that I receive and one is going to redeliver me my paper with the full set of inserts along with an extra set. The other paper, The Charlotte Observer, is going to issue another credit. Told them that if it happens again that I will be requesting a full refund and will be cancelling my subscription. The Qs are just so much better in the Charlotte paper, but some are better than none, so I am excited that I am not losing out all together.

Kylie if you need extras this coming sunday i'd be happy to pick up a paper for you for all your help sending me stuff-- i'll be in gastonia and know a gas station that lets me check the paper before I buy them!

I am SO glad to know I am not the only one having a problem with my local papers having all of the inserts they're supposed to (if any at all)!

I live in Alabama, and we are having awful times with our inserts as well. Luckily, I work a few blocks from the newspaper office, so I can go over there & pick them up. But I do get disappointed in the actual inserts themselves. I read on here what all CAN be in them, but don't end up with nearly the amount others seem to have. What really gets me are the pages of ads without coupons. Do they really think people want to see just the ads? Come on manufacturers!

This Sunday I bought a paper just for the inserts. I got my paper home and the inserts were not there.

So my fiance called and the paper invited us to trade our paper in for one with the inserts. We did and found that some papers (ours included) don't put the inserts into the papers in the paper machines because they can't target the coupons, as we live in a college town and during football season they can't guarantee targeted marketing.

We found out on Mondays you can buy 2 papers and get the inserts from both and a bonus insert.

I'm not sure if this is an option for everyone, but thought I'd throw out the idea of just calling and seeing how it "works" in your area. :D

 I agree with everyone that Mary needs to move on. I have had words with her on a previous post. Her negative attitude brings down even the brightest person. Mary please realize your words hurt people every much. Please leave.
