Cleaning for the Cleaning Lady

Started by Ciaran , author of Momfluential Media | We see, we like, we share. 11/3/2010 5:46:07 PM

Do you clean up before you (or a maid) cleans your house. What do you do to get ready to clean?

I do laundry, declutter, put away toys, empty dishwasher and sinks, hang clothes...

By the time I am done the kids are all moaning about how they thought I said the cleaning lady was coming so why am I making them clean!!!?

But to me the cleaning lady is there to mop, scrub, etc and it's hard to do that with all their junk in the way!

Haha! I love how we're both thinking about the same thing. I just had this conversation with my mom, who was telling me that maybe I should stop trying to clean everything myself. She also added that she ends up cleaning up for the cleaning woman. Doesn't seem like there's an easy answer.

Guilty as charged.  TOTALLY do that!  We have too much stuff out and I want to make it as easy as possible to clean.

You know what! I do the same thing.  My husband complains about that. He states why are do we need her services if you do all the work.  LOL.  I just like to straight things around a little bit, especially with my little one around she will have every toy all over the place :) Love the question.

All I'll say is I never had a cleaning lady! I clean, and than clean again LOL wish I could have one though!

Yeah, I pick up and de-clutter. I don't think it's their job to pick up after me. Dusting and scrubbing only. My mess is my mess, so I will do the dishes, put away clothing etc.
