Tell us a little bit about yourself and your baking and cake experiences. To get the convo going I'll start.

   I'm Miranda, a mom to two, and married to my high school sweet heart. I bake cakes and decorate them for fun and actually enjoy writing about it just as much as I do decorating them.. it's fun to share stories and inspiration with others who are also learning or who need a little idea to get their creative juices flowing. I've always loved everything artsy and took many art classes in high school and a couple in college but until the past few months I thought cake decorating was evil and decided cupcakes were the coolest thing ever invented.. especially if I made them with a boxed mix and a can of frosting. LOL I don't feel that way anymore though. I'm currently working on my first 3 tier wedding cake and my husband has suddenly become my sales person.
