What Is The Worst Thing That You Seen Workers Do To Food In A Restaurant?

I used to work for Mickey D's right out of high school for several years.  While I was there, I didn't see a lot of sick things done to food and I am happy for it.  However, one of the times that I did, made up for it in repulsiveness.  It was a Sunday morning right after the first church service and it was getting pretty busy.  The guy that was making hotcakes couldn't keep up with the orders that were called back.  He had already started to panic when the manager started yelling at him to hury up.  He went to fill up the pancake dispenser with more mix and he knocked the dispenser off of the grill.  All of the mix that he had prepared, fell on the floor.  He decided it would be better to lay te dispenser on it's side and scoop up the mix off of the floor back into the dispenser.  He continued to make pancakes with the batter that he got off the floor.  How sick was that?  Everything that was on the floor was now in the mix.  At the time I couldn't stand up for laughing but I was a lot more immature at the time.

Have you seen anything inappropriately done with food by the workers at a restaurant?

I worked for many eateries over several years and could probably write a book of disgusting stories. I'll spare you the worst but I'll tell you about the time I  was working in a fried chicken restaurant and, along with the batch of chicken I'd just prepared, I'd unknowingly batter dipped and deep fried a frozen mouse.

The lady working the drive-thru was filling an order, noticed it and told me about it. At first, I didn't believe her but I looked in the warmer, pulled out the tray and, sure enough, there it was. That batch was thrown out along with the flour mix and water. I'm just glad she caught it in time. I was triple-checking every bag for months after that.

Mild compared to a now-defunct cafeteria where I was the porter. The things I saw there defy belief. Really don't want to go there though.
