Hi all: This summer I've been a part of discussions at church that involve planning small group ministry. Guess what - Flygirlz is sort of like a small group! (Doesn't meet very often but it still functions like a small group).
What's so important about being a part of a small group?
Simple answer: Oneness
"Oneness" is God’s desire for his people. Small groups are a way to get that "oneness."
Groups are God’s delivery system of care: he uses people to take care of each other!
So what am I getting at? Well, I've learned that setting up group "ground rules" are important in a small group.
{Insert moan and groan here.}
No, really! Ground rules are guidelines for how we feel that the group should operate. They function to guard and protect the group!
So, I am proposing that we set up some ground rules before the trip so that we can all hit the ground running! (And not have to spend precious weekend time doing this!)
So please, everyone reply to this post and let's have some discussion about our group norms. Everyone needs to agree to these guidelines!
