When my 7yo daughter actually cleans her room, she does a really great job. She'll spend hours organizing her closet. I swear it lasts less than a day. Generally, her room looks like a stuffed animal/clothes bomb went off.
Ironically, she wins "cleanest desk" awards at school all the time and my 9 yo son who keeps an immaculate bedroom is an absolute slob at school.
