planning for baby #2???

Started by adriel , author of the mommyhood memos 1/31/2011 6:42:04 AM

How long did you wait before trying for your first child? Was it planned or a surprise?

If planned, did it take you long to conceive? Was it a similar time frame to the time it took you to conceive your first?

Do you like the age span between your kids or would you change it if you could?

What were some of the factors in your decision-making process?

Maybe it's because my baby just turned one and is more a toddler now than a wee little bub... but I've got babies on the brain! :)

My partner and I talked about having a baby in Feb 2009 and two months later we were expecting twins. Surprise.

Two girls were born at 36 weeks in Dec 09. The girls are now 15 months and I would love to have another baby. Just one more... However my partner needs a bit more time and convincing. I think next year (2012) we could seriously consider it then. The girls will be a little older (over 2 years to 3 year olds).

I too miss having a little bub and I can't believe how quick they grow. Every moment counts.

Wow! Only two months of trying and then twins. You are so blessed!!! I can understand not wanting to go straight away after having twins - must be a handful! :)

I'm now pregnant with #2. Hubs had been ready for a while ("need to have a second one so we don't have to share" he would joke) but it was right around the one year mark from our son's birth that I decided I was ready too. And then *BAM* first try and done. :) Ours will be 20 months apart.
