I'm reading all of the new releases of this year (example:Forget-her-nots by Amy Brecount White, Mistwood by Leah Cypess,) and my blog (http://www.bookablog-bethany.blogspot.com) is where I review them. I'd love it if you could become a follower!

I am following you now! I rarely read new releases because I'm in love with classics, but I need to expand my horizons. I can't wait to read your reviews!

I love anything by Jen Lacaster  - check out my blog for a link to her book "Bitter is the New Black"! It is really funny and inspirational!

i don't write about what i'm reading, usually.  i just finished the new janet evanovich book (total girlie beach read).  now i'm reading the girlfriend's guide to pregnancy because we are trying for a wee one.  not very exciting.  i need some recommendations.

I like suspense or murder mystery books.  I like figuring out the puzzle of who did it..

I'm reading an awful book right now - "Live to Tell" by Lisa Gardener.  It's definitely on the outer edge of what I can deal with.  One of the themes of the book seems to be crazy kids.  Like really mental.  It completely creeps me out. It doesn't help that my hubby is on a business trip and my kids keep testing their limits w/ me.

It's prolly the closest thing to a book-club book I've read in a long time - because it could spark a lot of discussions.

I love these authors: Karin Slaughter, Lee Childs, and John Sandford.

Part of me feels safer knowing tricks bad guys use and how the good guys catch them.  ...it's kinda my escape with a bubble bath and a good mystery.

I bounce around genres and types of books.  I just finished a book of short essays on family by different (mostly women) writers.  I blogged about that one because I figured it tied into my blog nicely (http://mommycrat.blogspot.com/2010/07/moms-book-review-one-big-happy-family.html)

Now I'm reading a political book written by one of the party leaders up here (Canada).

Next, I'll probably go back to something lighter (ie: fiction).  I'll have to look around.  I was thinking of looking up the books that the True Blood show are based on as I like vampire fiction.

Anyhoo - that's my summer reading to date!

The Sookie Stackhouse novels are fantastic! Charlaine Harris is the author. Those are the ones True Blood is based on. VERY losely based on I might add. The plots are really different so you get two completely different stories.

I'm currently reading Hot House Flower and I do blog about what I read.  Some of the books I get free as a blogger so I write reviews for them.  Others I buy and I still write a view for them.  I think doing it that way keeps everything balanced.

i've had several people recommend the sookie stackhouse and lee childs books.  i've just got to get to the library and pay that overdue fine.  has anyone read the alexander mccall smith books?  he writes the no. 1 ladies detective agency books, along with the 44 scotland street, sunday philosophy club, and portugese irregular verb series.  they are all delightful.  check 'em out.

xoxo,
