Traditions

So much of what we do with our families, and the memories we have and create with them, revolve around traditions.  So, what fun traditions does your family have?

Some of my most memorable times with the family are the cookouts and bonfires that we have every summer at different family members' homes. Also beach trips and picnics, yeah we do a lot of those in the Summer too.

In the Winter we always go sledding...the whole family gets together, and I mean the WHOLE familyLOL, so funny watching some of us adults going down on those lil round saucers hehee.

Let's not forget the holidays and their traditions...big turkey or ham dinners, (depending on the holiday) and singing together, playing  card/board/video games, kids and adults alike....great times had by all.

So much fun!  Kristi, I wished we lived close enough to the beach to make that a tradition!

My side of the family gets together every summer for 4 or 5 days and goes camping.  It is so much fun seeing all the little cousins running around together! And the adults always stay up way too late laughing, talking, and playing cards.  Well except my Mom, who is always trying to sleep and gets mad at us for being too loud, LOL.

I love holiday traditions too... mostly for the FOOD!  My husbands family makes this super yummy pomegranate berry jello every year for Thanksgiving - I look forward to it every year.

One fun thing I have started at Christmas time with my kids is that I wrap up all the Christmas books (I have a big collection) and they get to open and read one each night in December.  It's a lot of fun!

I love that Christmas tradition, Lynnette! What a great idea! I might have to borrow it. ;)

And sledding with all those adults ... Kristi that sounds like so much fun!

One of my favorite traditions is going to Baskin Robbins for ice cream! Definitely going to keep that one with my kids. :) Love me some peanut butter & chocolate. :)

we celebrate 3 Kings day and we leave food for their camels.  I think Bianca now understand a bit more after the famous Dora explorer 3 Kings day parade episode.  leave it to Dora to explain the world.
