My daughter and I recently rented Kiara from RedBox. It was a fun movie that inspire girls to be strong and independent. It brought up a conversation that we've had many times "Who is your favorite Princess" but this time I asked her "why?". At first she couldn't even tell me her favorite Princess because she loves them all and her answer to my question of why was "just because". 

After letting her think for a minute I discovered my daughter's favorite Princess is Belle from Beauty & the Beast.

So why is Belle her favorite Princess?

"Belle is my favorite because she is so kind in her heart. She knew Gaston was mean and she didn't want to be with him. She loves the beast even though he was scary and mean to her. Now the Beast is nice and it's because of Belle. She is really smart and loves to read like I love to read. Belle loves horses and so do I. Her dress is so pretty and so is she. I love her brown hair because I have brown hair too"

The main thing I got from all that was that Makenna loves Belle because she is kind and is smart. 

Those are great reasons to love a Princess if you ask me.
