Oddest Animal Bites?

Started by Jean , author of Typical Suburban Family 8/30/2010 11:34:46 AM

Warning:  I am not looking for terrifying animal biting stories.  I know people that have a great fear for animals because of a particular bite.  This post is not meant to cause harm or fear, but rather just be a funny post about silly animal biting stories.

Have you ever been bitten by an animal?  Even if it's just a nip... like the story I posted here:  The Camel Bit Mommy! please share.  I thought it was humorous as I was typing up this post and wondered if anyone else had a funny animal biting story to share.  You know, like a hamster, bunny, or even a camel!

What is the funniest animal biting story you have to share?

I've really never been bitten by anything strange, although the horses where my daughter rides like to try to eat anything they can get close to (hair, clothes, wood, etc.). My cats bite me a lot.

Although, my chihuahua (who lives with my mom now) would never growl or bite me or even nip except when the nail clippers came out. He broke the skin once and I stopped trying to clip his nails myself. He goes to the vet or a pet salon now. It's worth the $10!

Definitely worth the $10!  My old cat used to like to nibble on people.  It was so strange.  She would just bite your finger for no reason, but no with the intent of being mean.  She'd be more startled than you when it would happen!!

That's funny.

My cats are pretty normal. The whole, you can pet me until I tire of your touch. And a little bite on the hand is how they let you know. :-)

I road horses for many, many years competing in events and teaching others how to ride. TWICE I have been bitten in the midst of explaining something about horses to children.

The first time, I was facing the horses behind and bending over to demonstrate cleaning out a hoof. The horse turned and bit me right on the butt.

The second time, I was showing some campers how to pet a horse so he knows  you're not a threat. The horse in the next stall reached over and took a bite out of a my shoulder. That one left a scar. I wound up having to turn to my campers and say, "And now I'll show you some basic first aid!" even though inside I was screaming.
