We like to build forts inside.  The kids play for hours in them, hiding from imaginary foes and just playing house.

We do a lot of crafts as well, and on special days they get to take a swim in my extra large tub. 

We are cooking a lot and painting.

Cooking, cooking and cooking! And baking, too, if it is not too hot. Too bad our kitchens in NYC are very small, but we still manage! 

My kids love painting and drawing. But I also set them up with a big container of water and they play sink or float. It is nice and cool for them and they have such fun.

We're doing a printable this morning that is really cute.  It's two habitats - a forest and an ocean.  Then a bunch of little animals.  They color the habitats and animals, then cut out the animals and glue them into the appropriate habitat. 

 Sounds fun and cute!

We enjoy painting with a range of materials rather than just the good old paintbrush!! Since her birthday, we have been very into playdough as well!!

Mostly educational stuff.. reading, writing, crafts, a few fun experiments and educational games. Here are other summer activities to do too.

Water is always a hit here!  My daughter just played "wash dishes" with her play kitchen dishes in the bathroom sink.
