What is your least favorite part of blogging?

Started by Quirky Momma , author of quirkymomma.com 10/31/2011 5:00:26 PM

We all love blogging, we really do, but I can't be the only mom with a "chore" activity?

Twitter is mine.  I love twitter parties, I just forget to check it if there is no party scheduled in the near future.

Spill your secret, what do you make yourself "do", on behalf of your blog?

Mixing the things I desire to write about verses the SEO portion because I monetize my site...struggle for me.

The tech stuff for me too. My site is like the ten thousandth one you get even if you type in Sense of Wonder Blog! SEOs and keyword research is just not something I want to have to think about.

As for twitter, I still don't have many followers so I don't bother with it too much. I mainly follow what other people have to say. (that may be why I don't have many followers) I do enjoy the parties, but I can't seem to get a free long enough to really engage.

Dealing with spam comments is definitely my least favorite part of blogging. For some reason, I started getting 1,000-2,000 spam comments each week at Living Montessori Now. I felt I had to at least look at them because even though my Akismet plugin caught them all, it also thought a few good comments were spam. When Comment Luv had an introductory sale for the Comment Luv Premium plugin, I ordered it and now use the check box people have to check to say they're not a spammer. That has made my life SO much better! A few spammers still try to leave comments (which are then caught by Akismet) but nothing like before.

All I know is that I was not meant for computer programming. Sometimes, I want to throw my computer when trying to figure out formatting for my blog.

For me it is finding the time...there is never enough!  So, I stay up late or get up before the chickens.

Well since I'm new the hardest thing for me is the overwhelming learnig curve.  I'm a total learn as you go type so I do a massive amount of research along with all the other blog stuff I do.

:)  I actually like the research though...I'm a research fanatic:)

Blessings

I just dislike blogging in general. I mean i love that others do it and can do it, as it pays the bills, but I am no good at it myself. I never have anything blog worthy or interesting to say.

I have tried many times to start my own personal blog, and it always goes about 1 day and i give up.

So i guess my least fave part of blogging, its blogging itself, and coming up with original content to write about.
