Recipe: Almond Mocha Bars

Started by Shell , author of Not Quite Susie 6/27/2012 4:00:10 AM

I love cooking & making yummy food for my family, but in the summer I like to keep it simple. There are way too many sprinklers to run in & pools to swim in to be tied up cooking something too complicated. That said, I wanted a yummy treat that I could take outside with me & so I combined three of my favorite things: coffee, chocolate, and food on a stick!

These Bars are essentially a popsicle for grown-ups- at least that's what I tell Shane whenever he asks for one. They're made with International Delight's Iced Coffee- if you know me in person, you know what a HUGE fan of that I am! &For the extra yum, I added some chocolate covered almonds!

Ingredients:

-International Delight Iced Coffee {Choose your flavor: Mocha, Vanilla or Original}
-Chocolate Covered Almonds

You Will Need:

-Frozen Pop Mold
-Popsicle Sticks

Directions:

-Place Chocolate Covered Almonds into mold & cover with International Delight Iced Coffee
-Place in freezer
-Wait. {This is the hardest part.}
-Enjoy!

It's totally simple {just like the Iced Coffee itself- premade & no-fuss} and really good- and it's pretty, too, so it'd be a fun treat to serve guests!

International Delight is celebrating summer by giving away 1,000 half gallons of Iced Coffee each day! Grab your free drinks here!

Pinned it! I plan on making your recipe in my FastPop later so I only have to wait 10 minutes! ;) My favorite taste of summer is, actually, iced coffee - usually I make cold-brewed coffee and keep it in the fridge, but - and I'm not just saying this - the ID mocha is a close second. :)

I would have pinned it even without the contest - my daughter loves coffee in any form and I plan on making these for her soon. My favorite taste of summer? Watermelon!

I pinned the photo. In the summer I like to take sparkling water for my kids a simple syrup and fresh fruit mix it all together for a fresh and healthy water for them.
