Redbox Summer Family Fun

Watching a family movie with your children, such as Dino Dan: Dino Trackers / Ready? Set? Dino!, is a great way to foster an already fertile ground of a child's active imagination. I recently had the opportunity to rent this video via Redbox, and I instantly knew that my son would enjoy watching this movie since he loves learning about dinosaurs. Not only is this movie fun for him to watch, but it also gave him the opportunity to learn even more about paleontology, the study of prehistoric life.

Dan Henderson, a paleontologist, embarks on an adventure in an imaginary world of dinosaurs in Dino Dan: Dino Trackers / Ready? Set? Dino! His adventures entail of racing a T-Rex and a Spinosaurus to see who's a faster carnivore, using scientific methods to gather up clues to solve mysteries, learning about how dinosaurs got their names, and much more! While the acting wasn't something I'd call a stellar performance, this movie captivated my son's attention, thus I added it to a list of DVDs to buy in the future.

Ignite your child’s imagination this summer! Rent Dino Dan: Dino Trackers / Ready? Set? Dino! and other Family Fun movies & games this summer and you could win one of three family vacations, including a trip four to Toronto for walk-on role in Dino Dan (if you rent before 7/8)! My son loves acting out some of his favorite lines in movies- when he wasn't even 2 yet he was already running around the house yelling "To Infinity... and Beyond!"

With story telling, books and fun movies of course

They make him dream and believe in the impossible, relive the past, or think about the future!

Making props to play along with the characters in the movie!

My oldest son loves anything about history or scifi - always has. So I encourage him to watch them and then we talk about them afterwards and create new story lines :)

Using his toys to play along with the plot of the movie!

She's pretty little right now, but is starting to enjoy play food.

We like to let my son read a book that has been made into a movie, and than watch the movie. It brings it to life. Although, he uses his imagination more with the books. :)

My son imagines they are his life! He LOVES movies :)
