Personally, I LOVE my VitaMix and everyone I know who has one does as well. I went through three blenders in 6 months and gave up and bought a VM. Now I've had it for several years and I use it almost every day. I confess, I use it mostly for smoothies, but we definitely use it for other stuff as well. For example, I made all my pesto in it last year. It's definitely an expensive piece of equipment, but definitely my favorite electrical appliance - by far!
