How Often Do you Blog?

Started by Ashley , author of L.A. Birdie's Laugh @ Life 5/27/2010 1:09:35 PM

I've been trying to blog Monday - Friday and it has been quite the challenge. I'm having trouble coming up with something everyday. How often do you blog and how do you plan ahead?

I don't really plan ahead but I'd say I blog every other day.  That's kind of my goal anyway.  I should start planning ahead a little more though, I think it might help.  I really think it is impressive when people can produce quality blogs every day, I sometimes struggle with every other day posts.  It can be challenging!

One of my goals is to create a better blogging schedule. I would like to blog daily.  I'm working towards consistency.

A few times I have had a post ready to go and written for the following day and I always feel so accomplished.  The little artworks I like to do for some posts takes me awhile too, so if I get both done ahead of schedule I am beyond excited!

I usually have a blog post for everyday, but I don't blog every day.  Somedays I feel particularly inspired and in the mood to write.  On those days, I do 3 or 4 posts and just schedule them for the next few days.  I also save pictures that get me thinking or jot ideas down in a notebook if I think of something when I'm not at the computer.  If I do miss a blogging day, it's usually on the weekend.

Amber:  That is so cool!  I think I need to start doing that.  Thanks for the inspiration!!

I usually blog everyday.  I feel like I never will have anything to say, but then something will spark a thought and I'll be able to blog.  A lot of times I'll just write about whats on my mind.  I mean, we always have thoughts racing through our minds, don't we?  :)  Also, a big thing that helps me blog is remembering that I'm blogging for me.  I don't worry about people being bored reading it, or the amount of people it will interest.  In the end, I want to be able to look back at my blog (like it's a journal) and remember what all I was going through at this stage of my life, not what I wanted to entertain other people with.

I have a blog about creative ideas, so I can only contribute so much! It is my goal to write two or three posts per week. But I try to make them pretty good ones.

I'm pretty new to blogging so I haven't really found my routine. I basically blog any time I have a few quiet minutes. I probably average 3 a week.

Laura:  I have a ton of thoughts but they seem to be repetitive.  You know what I mean? I doubt my readers want to read 5 posts about chocolate in a week or a day.  I need to get some more interesting thoughts sometimes.  :-P

It seems like most of us here average 3 a week or so.  I think that's pretty good.  Go us!
