I'm not really a soda drinker, but coffee, now that's a different thing all together. My family is Colombian so if I could walk around with an IV pole and a bag of coffee, I would. I'm from New York, so the southern sweet tea, while sometimes nice, is altogether too sweet for me on an everyday basis. Water is what I drink all other times, and that is because I am so concerned with re-hydrating my body after the coffee stints, that I am now habitually carrying a water bottle everywhere.
For the let loose times, I agree with Natalie, a nice cold beer does the trick. Favorite: Flat Tire. It's from a micro brewery but is available in most areas. Since I am a light weight when alcohol is concerned, I generally stick to beer as it takes a lot more of it to get me drunk. Pinot Grigio for wine when I'm out celebrating with friends or at functions. And ONLY when my husband is driving because let me tell you, I'm a really cheap date.
Now, with all that said, since I try to hold on for dear life to my youth, every once in a while we have girls night. (which I haven't had in some time now btw, but I digress) That is when the occasional shot comes into play. 1 or 2 is all you really need, anything more than that can make you sloppy and no one wants a sloppy drunk. :0) Lemon shots! That is the staple for a girls night out.
Anyone else?
