Favorite CD detergents?

Started by Ashley 8/6/2010 1:49:02 AM

Let's take a little survey! What detergent do you use? I really don't want to have to buy expensive detergent online, but I also want to take proper care of my diapers. I've read some places that say Tide or Gain is okay??? Really? What ingredients do I need to watch out for? I also have a couple bottles of Arm and Hammer Unscented.....anyone know if those are okay?

I use Publix Free & Clear.  I only use about a 1/4 of the amount for a small load.  It has worked well for us so far.  Reese has very sensitive skin and it is hard to find a detergent that I can even use with her so I didn't want to invest too much.  This one got 4 out of 5 stars from Pinstripes & Polkadots and it's only $3.49 a bottle!

Check out this chart.  It's a great resource and tells you what to avoid.

That link is one of the best out there for detergent comps.  We use Seventh Generation Delicate Care.  It is the only Seventh Generation that is enzyme free.  I tried the bumGenius brand when I started selling it.  I also tried soap nuts for awhile.  I learned real fast that if you have something that works, just stick with it.  Every time we change detergents, even if it because I am out and have to wash in something else, she starts having trouble.

Whole Foods, 5 miles away, sells the Seventh Generation Delicate Care so that was why I use it.
