I have sooooo much Salad Dressing, now what?

Started by Jessica , author of Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Items: Shop All Year and Save! 9/16/2010 3:53:51 PM

Okay, I admit it, I over-stocked-up on salad dressing this year.  I even gave lots away, but I have more than I'll ever use on salad.

Does anyone have any great recipes that use salad dressing they'd like to share?  I would love to use it up before it expires early next year.

I have just about every flavor, I think ;P

Jessica~

Make sure to check out Kraft's website: http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/main.aspx

...they have some great ones. I also love to use them as marinades! :)

I use a lot of it to marinade meat (Asian Toasted Sesame is great on Chicken!)

We love to cook chicken in salad dressing (which I also overstocked on), and often put it over pasta (we have lots of free pasta to do that with!!!).  Many varities make yummy dishes.  Italian dressing with a little lime juice, garlic, and sesame seeds might just be my favorite!

AllRecipes.com is my favorite recipe website and they have a search option.  You could put whichever salad dressing you want to use in the search and see what you get.  You can also save the recipes you like in an online recipe box.  It's a free website, which makes it even better!

I have a great recipe for potato salad - I'll find it and post it later today. :)  Also, look on Hidden Valley Ranch's website - they have great recipes for all sorts of things.

I love to put some chicken breast in a crockpot and cover them with salad dressing.  Serve over rice.  Super easy yummy meal!  :)

Another great idea is to donate the extras to your local food bank.  Share the wealth when you find you have more than you need or can use.  That is what I do when I get some great deals.
