Are there any families out there who have transitioned into the civilian world?

Hi ladies! My husband is getting out in early 2013 and I'm trying to prepare for our transition (going to school to have some sort of career). I really wanted to hear from other families who have transitioned out. How are you guys doing now? What was the hardest part for you, etc? I would really love to hear from the other side of the armed forces. Veteran families, if you will

I've found someone who MIGHT be but has no final decision yet :( I'll send you the link when they have a final decision. So far, we ARE transitioning out. Hubby is 90% positive

Just read that No Model Lady (http://soldierslady.blogspot.com/) and her family WILL be transitioning out of the Marines

We transitioned 5 years ago and the process is still fresh in my mind. The main reason we didn't move was because of the kids, they didn't want to leave their friends. At times we think it was a good decision, at times not. However, I don't know how your money situation is but it can help to have a second income if the military member does not yet have a job.
