Do you have big birthday parties for your kids?

Started by The Healthy Moms Magazine , author of The Healthy Moms Magazine 8/20/2010 11:57:10 AM

Do you hold big birthday parties for your children or do you have small ones? Are birthdays important in your family?

We don't celebrate my birthday or my husbands. Sometimes we will go out to dinner to celebrate them but that is about it. His birthday is the day after mine so we usually celebrate them together.

Our childrens' birthday parties are generally small. We usually only invite family and maybe one or two close friends.

How do you celebrate birthdays?

Mine and hubby's go unnoticed.  We usually have a small one for the kids, with grandparents, aunts, and uncles.  When my oldest was a toddler I threw him large ones, but can't afford to do that anymore.

my 7 children are all born fairly close together, including 3 that were born in the same week!! on top of that  my husband and i share a birthday a week later lol  so we have a big family party , dinner out included, once for everyone. then on the actual bday that person picks dinner  and remembers their gifts  from that party. :)
