Beat the Jones'

Do you ever try to out do your neighbors?  I know I don't.  I like living in my own little world, and they live in there's.  My neighbors just got a new baby girl, and I certainly can't outdo that.  Not with 9 grandchildren.  Although, my neighbor on the west side of me I remember she got her drive-way black - topped, and then so did we.  Guess we didn't want to look messy or worse then hers.   Oh well.  How abut you?  Hope I'm doing this right.  It's my first time.

I do not try to compete with my neightbors at all. Every once in a while if I notice that their yard is all pretty and proper, it may inspire me to trim a few bushes and cut the grass an extra time or two, but I certainly never try to outdo them. That being said, I live in a country type setting and not in a formal neighborhood, so that could have something to do with my attitude.

Luckily like Kathleen we live in a country-type setting, so there's no trying to outdo the neighbors.  It's funny though - we'll end up starting a mowing trend...when we mow our grass, the neighbors on either side are quick to follow.  :)

With the holidays coming quickly like they do every year, when you decorate do you ever try to outdo you neighbors?  I don't outdo my neighbors.  I know mine is the best I LUVS holiday decorating.  I live for holiday decorating.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas.  I don't spend a lot of money either.  I go garage sailing and the thrift stores, and I've found the best stuff nobody wants to use anymore and I DO!  ISN'T THAT COOL!  Right now I'd like a Nativity scene out in front and so far I found Mary for two bucks.  Isn't that cool.  Now I'll just wait patiently and I'm sure I'll find he rest.

Well hello everybody I bet you thought I moved out!  Dang! It's been a whole year since I've been here.  I just read the above & I still feel the same way & I'm still looking for my Nativity scene, but I didn't look to hard this year, but all good things come to those who wait & anything worth having is worth waiting for!  HAPPY ALMOST HALLOWEEN!

Well, it only took you two years to respond.  So, they had to keep up with you huh?  Well, I don't find that people really do that much any more, but I will tell you that I'm not a prejudice person, but when it comes to snobs I don't even mess with them.  We have new neighbors that are first class snobs.  They like to turn neighbors in that's not doing things up to their expectations, but anonymously.  grrrrrrrrrrr People are really stinkers sometimes!
