What is your favorite way to spend time with your husband?

As you may know, my husband has been out of town for the past week leading a revival. In our married life (nearly 14 years) this is the longest we have been apart ... and it has been tough.

Since he's been gone I've realized how much we are normally together. We spend a lot of time together. I noticed over the past week there were a few times when I really really missed him ... like when I get back from taking C to school each morning. It was weird coming into an empty house. And while she's at dance ... he often comes with me and we spend that hour piddling around Target or getting coffee at Starbucks.

I realized how much I enjoy those moments we have ... in the midst of daily life ... to just connect.

So often when we're together, we're working--he on the class he's teaching online, me on the class I'm taking, and of course all of our conversation lately has been about moving, moving, moving. I like going out for coffee with him, though, when we can...or just sitting on the couch talking about stuff.

I also like talking to him on the 25-minute drive to church every Sunday! :)
