So, this might be kind of annoying but I'm curious. Do you read Mckmama? Do you like her?

I don't think bickering is needed here though, so let's keep it humane. It seems like whenever people talk about her it gets so heated.

I used to, but I quit.  Her community was too dramatic for me and when I left it I also quit reading her blog as well.  I used to really enjoy her blog but I think it has changed.

I did for awhile, but I am not big on the Christian posts - and that seems to be a lot of what she is doing lately - and her apparent need to justify her life on the blog has sort of turned me off.  I have no problems with her whatsoever - her life, her choices, but I've decided its not worth my time to read her blog anymore, so I haven't been back in awhile.  Sometimes I head over to the community, but that's about it.

Her blog has changed. Not to be a hater, but I feel like her kids have been left in the dust. :( I feel like "real" JM was traded-in for the MckMama brand.

In related stalker news: I'm totally going to go to Mudd Lake when the snow is gone (if that ever happens)! That's the furniture-ish store she always raves about. It's 30 minutes from where I work! :)

I read her, and I like her. I definitely don't think she hung the moon, and I don't take her advice/do the things she does. I know she has lots of flaws, but so do I! I think the fact that she has an imperfect marriage, spouts off at inopportune times, and has maybe questionable motives makes her more like-able to me. In fact, I read her blog during the first Stellan Boston visit, and would have stopped if I hadn't noticed all the drama going on.

I know I'm weird, but I did not really like her until I realized what a screwed up person she really was! Reading the OHIH site really helped me identify with her. At first I saw her as this perfect pretentious woman who thought she was all that... Now I see her as someone kind of like me: an imperfect mother and wife who desperately wants others to think she has it all together.

Jessica you make me chuckle :)

I am not a hater but I am most definitely NOT a fan either. Like Kellie said she traded in a lot for the brand of MckMama. I have a hard time with her because I feel like she uses emotional blackmail of sorts in order to boost her numbers and money. I dont care that she makes money off of her blog I just wish she practiced more of an ethical means of making that money. Her blog used to be about her kids but then as time went on it began to change and become more and more about her, and the the name changed. Even while Stellan was in the hospital the last few times it was much less about what was happening to him and more about drawing people's attention to her. I think she is dishonest in how she does things but that is simply my opinion.

Just my 50 cents :)

I read it, and I sort of sympathize with her that her online persona sort of "got out of hand" to the point that she could not keep at least a few skeletons in her closet. I have not however, ever felt that she was infallible or perfect since we are all humans.

I think her children are absolutely gorgeous, and I thought about Stellan every day from when I first heard of him.  I usually read her posts from my Google reader since it is easier to bypass the parts I could care less about.

I do give her credit for one thing though... She has turned a family blog into an "empire" of sorts, can make money from it and plays that card very well.

I could care less about her dirty little secrets, but do agree with the people who think she should be smart enough not to offer relationship/marriage advice.

So, I guess I am a realistic reader who considers Mck entertainment.

I read it obviously. I love her writing. Knowing her personally helps me to see past the things that people say about her. She does have a great heart!

I read her blog. I like it. I don't always agree with everything she does or writes, but I totally think that's her business, so if I don't like it, that's o.k.

Lisa just conveyed exactly what I wanted to say in far fewer words.  Smarty butt! lol

I used to read it but have become increasingly disinterested as the blog moved to be all about her. Which is great, I mean it is her blog to do whatever she wants with. It just doesn't interest me anymore.

The thing with the photos a few days ago actually really turned me off. That was lying. I mean, really lying. Changing the wording from "the pictures I took" to” the pictures taken" is all that would have been needed to keep it honest.

So no I don't follow her blog anymore. On the positive side it led me to some of the other bloggers who are writing from Kenya. Those who are writing absolutely amazing and moving posts. Mcmamma's Kenya posts....kinda all about her (said in a whisper so peoples don't beat me with their keyboards)

Any hey, without McMamma I would never have found this great of great people.
