20 Inch Waist

Started by S.I.F. , author of Single Infertile Female: Now What? 2/7/2012 12:02:44 AM

I'm having a hard time believing this is real.

What do you think? Is it possible, or is there some major trick of photography or girdle going on there?

I am a girl with a pretty prominent hourglass figure, and even my physical therapist commented on how small my waist was in comparison to my hips and breasts, but... what I've got going on is NOTHING compared to that.

I'm seriously having a difficult time understanding how her middle doesn't collapse between those 2 ends if it is real.

Ouch!

I saw a chick down the street yesterday who was perhaps as tiny as I've ever seen a person.  Like.. her waist was probably the size of a 6 year olds but she was in proportion tiny as in her hips and bust were tiny as well.

That chick just looks freaky deaky.  It's like what a barbie would look like person sized.  Less attractive than when they're doll sized, evidently!

She looks gross!

Gross. And now I want to be from Romania where being chubby is a good thing.

I just can't figure out how it's possibly real! It seems like there isn't enough room in there for her organs! And then her rib cage looks so boxy above her waist! My physical therapist, no joke, told me that there were some things I would struggle with NOT because of issues with endo (like I had thought) but because of the basic structure of my body. She said that my waist was too small in relation to my hips and upper body for me to be able to have the muscle structure to do certain exercises that most people can do fairly easily (legs to table top in Pilates being an example). The thing that blows my mind is, most people would look at me and realize I have an hour glass figure, but I don't think anyone would look at me and think it was grossly out of proportion. So if I have a loss of strength in certain areas because of the way my body is built, how can that chick even stand up straight? Seriously!

And then I feel bad, because she's talking about how self-conscious she is about it. If it's real, I can totally see why she's self-conscious. It doesn't look good, it looks freaky! And I feel awful talking shit, because I'm all about promoting healthy body image, but... if that's real, I'm seriously concerned!

I really don't know if it IS possible. I keep thinking it's photoshopped or something.

Either that, or she's actually missing vital organs.

yeah I'm a big fan of my hourglass shape, but no way would I want my waist that tiny! yuck. How is it even possible?

And for the record, the new Barbies have a much more realistic shape. Barbie is actually kinda hot now,.. I wish I had her body :-)

I think I'd be more concerned with core stability and being able to stand up than organs.  Organs squish around, right?

But yes.  They always say that if Barbie was real she wouldn't be able to stand up because her waist is too small to be functional.  I've got to imagine that if that chick is for real, she'd have to deal with pain with standing and movement or wear a brace to help keep upright.  It just looks painful!

Barbie is bigger than that girl.  I cringed when she put her hands on her hips, creepy!

Some time ago I saw a person with a waist like this on TV... I think it was one of those "freaky shit people do" documentaries...and over ten year that person had worn increasingly small girdle/corset things to make their waist smaller and smaller....

I remember them having a very thin almost bony frame, but their waist was impossibly small just like this lady.

And they studied that person's internal state; organs which were all squished into the wrong places, the diaphragm was damaged, breathing shallow, circulation compromised, and they were not able to walk/stand for nearly as long as someone who had not altered their body so drastically...

It is akin to the lotus foot bindings... you wrap something up enough over a long enough period of time and the body conforms... even when it is unnatural.
