Started by Sarah G. , author of Life as I see it: Life as a military wife! 2/2/2012 8:27:23 PM

Ok so I pulled up my blog to update  and everything is in Japanese.  Well let me clarify- everything that I did not write is in Japanese.  So my problems is this, I can't read Japanese and have no idea what I am clicking on or how to update my blog because I can't read anything!!  Help me!  How do I get it all back in English so I can read it?  Anyone know?

I will try to help you as I use blogspot too!

Log into blogger.com and go to your dashboard. You can get this far, right?

Below is a screen shot which shows you the box language is located in and how many spaces down English is. I think this should help you!

I will try but pretty sure all of the wording is in Japanese so I wouldn't even know if I was clicking on the right thing to get me to my dashboard!  I'll let you know if it works.  Thanks for the help!

It worked!! Thank you so much Rachel!!

Glad you got it figured out Sarah, but I've got to admit... it's kind of a funny problem! ;) Those things you never would have anticipated in moving around the world!

Its true!  I never thought one second about that.  But just to let you know too, the ads at the top of your blog and here are in Japanese as well.

We also just purchased a van and I was putting the carseats in, only to realize that the seat belts don't lock to safely secure the seats.  I never thought to check the seat belts before we bought it.  Turns out, locking seatbelts are hard to come by here.  I have no idea how I am going to install these carseats safely!

Well now I just feel all cultured! ;)

But that's scary about the carseats! I hope you're able to figure that out soon!

You can use a locking clip to keep the seat belt from slipping. I think most carseats come with them--at least the brands I've used (Graco, Sunshine Kids, and Peg-Perego). It's this thing that looks like two sideways capital Ts joined in the middle.

Here is a link to where you can buy one, but like I said, it may be wedged somewhere in the back of your car seats (or the car seat base, if you're still using an infant seat for your youngest one).
