Pray for Juile

Started by Lisa , author of Roerdink Ramblings 5/15/2011 7:53:08 AM

I got this on FB from Julie early this morning posted by her husband:

This is Martin, Julie's husband. Julie was hit by a drunk driver about two hours ago as she drove to get some juice & food items to take back to her hotel room. She was rear-ended while at a stop light. She's on her way to a military medical clinic for further evaluation. Please keep her and the baby in your thoughts. The drunk driver hit her while speeding.

And then this a little later on:

This is Martin. Julie has bad whiplash in her neck & back. Proper seatbelt wear kept the baby safe. Julie's on serious pain meds & is on quarters for a few days to recover. Not sure where Larry got 30 mph; the speed limit was 35 & the drunk driver was speeding & did not break. The driver was arrested. Rental car is damaged. Will post more later. Thanks for the prayers.

The latest:

This is Julie now. THANK YOU for all the thoughts and prayers. I'm overwhelmed by the love. I've been resting all day, very stiff and sore, but so lucky. Bug is perfectly fine. The female driver who hit me was 20-something, belligerent & drunk off her ass. Tried to prevent me from calling 911. It was not a nice situation and it probably won't be over for me any time soon. Don't take anything for granted, folks.
