To All the Bloggy Veterans

Started by liz , author of a belle, a bean & a chicago dog 3/15/2010 1:42:48 PM

I'm curious how long some of you bloggy veterans have been doing this.  And how have things progressed for you - slow and steady, or a big burst and then a leveling off?  What are things you've found that have worked for you, and what hasn't?

Thanks for your insights!

I have been blogging, well I started out "journaling" for just about 5 years. I have done more blogging in the past 2 years with my writing doubling in the past year.

That said, I am not making even close to enough money to get by on, I make a lot more money from my freelance writing than I do blogging.

For now, things are slowly progressing and I am working hard to make it all click. I don't know if it will happen for me. Even if it doesn't, I am going to do it because I love it.

Every penny I earn today is one more penny I didn't have when I woke up. In the end it all adds up.

All I can say is just keep on doing what you are doing and keep on learning.

Thanks for your input, Lisa.  I appreciate it.  I don't necessarily have any expectations with it, but wonder how some people have 200+ followers.  Have they been doing it for a long time, etc.?

There is so much to take in when you are new, and I'm just trying to understand it all.

Thanks again!
