Terrible Twos. How fun.

Started by Jean , author of Typical Suburban Family 7/23/2010 8:07:16 PM

We are now in the terrible twos with our second kiddo.  I forgot how much fun the hitting, the crying and the temper tantrums could be.  WOW!  What a night tonight.

I really hope nobody can relate to this post at Typical Suburban Family.

On a lighter note, don't forget to enter my HappyBaby giveaway.

Oy. And then nobody warns you about the terrible THREES. (For my girls, anyway, they were far worse than the TWOS.)

Happy Brithday! I've got a bloggy anniversary giveaway that ends TODAY.

I actually love kid's developmental stages until about 7ish, then it's all down hill until they are back in their teens. I know most parents love the 7-12 stage, but I am not so much into it.  I love the speration/finding oneself stages which are the early toddlers to school-age and then again the teens.  It's so much fun to help kids see themselves through their actions!

Of course, I'm big on communication so that has a lot to do with it.  I love to chat/discuss/analyze with kids!

Each stage has it's challenges, doesn't it? My son has currently been at his most difficult since he turned 5. My teenager is way better at 13 than she was at 10 or 11. I just try to roll with whatever stage they're in and figure that none of it is permanent (the good OR the bad!)

I always said that they only called it the terrible twos because they never let their kid get to 3...

and then my son turned 14.

15 has shown MUCH improvement.

We're heading for the terrible twos, too!!

My daughter had a tantrum yesterday because she wanted to ride her bus, and didn't want to ride, she wanted her juice, and didn't want her juice, she wanted to go right, and didn't want to go right. It was a long 15 minute walk.
