What's your five-minute relaxer?

Started by Kami , author of My Beautiful Day 1/26/2011 2:14:55 PM

If there's one thing I've discovered with having a new baby in the house, it's the fact that I don't have nearly the amount of time I need to get everything done!  In fact, I don't get many things done at all anymore (thankfully my hubby doesn't complain!).

In the midst of my crazy day, I have found I desperately need to take five minutes to myself here and there to just have down-time, even if the baby is still crying.  If I don't take this time, I find that I'm having a mental/emotional breakdown by the end of the day!  Sometimes I go into my bathroom and turn on the vent/fan just to override the noise in my house.  I sit on the counter and lean against the wall and just breathe deeply.  Other times I go and sit on the glider in baby Ethan's bedroom and look out the window as I relax and glide myself into relaxation.  Whatever it is, I find this five minute break to be completely rejuvenating and completely necessary!

So, what do you do to get your break in the day?
