Anyone work from home?

Started by Amy , author of The Adventures of JAMC 12/21/2009 11:54:08 PM
For the first four years of my oldest son's life I got to stay at home with him.  I LOVED it!  Then, when my youngest was 1, I had to work due to some issues with my husband's health and other financial obligations.  My job is pretty good, and I don't mind it...but sometimes I dream about how nice it would be to work from home...and make tons of money.  Not really realistic, I thought.  I know people who work from home, but I'm pretty sure they don't make a ton of money.  Anybody here work from home?  If so, how did you find that type of job...and is it worth it?  Is it really as nice as it would seem?  And, no, just staying at home with the kiddos and not having an income wouldn't work for me...though that would be nice, too.  I miss it!

I don't work from home now.  I just stay with the kids for free!  But I did do real estate when I left the corporate world, and I continued that even after my daughter was born. I brought her with me on all of my showings, etc.  Not practical now that she is older and I have another.  Anyway, I too would love to make some money from home.  Eventually, when mine are a bit older, I will do something.  I am hoping to be able to improve my photography skills to the point of doing a bit of that.

I am working from home with a wonderful group of women who are always there when I need help. If you are really interested in making money from home this is the place these women are so great at explain what to do and they are so good at motivating you to get it done! I work from home and outside the home too.  I will say it is hard work you are right you are not going to make tons of money.  I think what most people do not understand is there are plenty of people who make tons of money but they have been in business for years.

I own my own business and found ways to do what I needed to do while I had my two young boys in tow.  So it is very obtainable feel free to check out my blog I talk about all kinds of ideas and tips for running a successful home business.

Good luck you will find something that will fit your needs and when you do you will have a blast.yes

Niki- That's impressive...10 years!  How did you get into doing that?  How much time does it take you each week?

Wow, I haven't been on BlogFrog forever.  I just read all the replies.  I would love to make money from writing...I LOVE to write, but I don't even know how you get started.  I hardly have any followers on my blog, so I don't know how you get exposure for that sort of thing.
