Building up your community...

Started by Quirky Momma , author of quirkymomma.com 1/13/2011 9:17:40 PM

I remember awhile ago there was a thread of conversation starters, where people signed up and swapped comments on each other's communities and we became a support group for the smaller blogfrog communities.  Well, I want to go visit you again!!!

Leave your link to your community and I'll stop by for a visit :)

Here's mine- http://theblogfrog.com/1278075

I've got a series of discussion posts started to discuss the individual chapters of Proverbs for those reading a chapter a day for the month, and any month throughout the year...

but I welcome other conversations! :D

Here's my community, Hagler Happenings:

I did something similar on my community too. It kind of fizzled off around Christmas time though.

I wasn't around for the last one but I'm a newbie very interested in sharing the love and having some people join my community so I'm in! Great idea! Here's a link to my community:

Great idea.  I could definitely use some help with my community.  Relatively new to it.  Here is my community:

Also, one question.  Rustin talked about syndicating a discussion.  What is that, how do you do it and why do you do it?  (Ok it was three questions made to look like one)

Thanks!

@ LFH - RE: Syndicating a discussion...

I don't know how other communities do it, but I am a leader of MomLoop.  What we call a "syndicated discussion" is a thread that is sponsored by a company.  We are financially compensated for running the thread and publicizing the company/products mentioned in that thread.  We have had a few sponsored threads - like 6 or 7, we'd like more but haven't put much effort into finding companies to sponsor.  Hope that helps :)

I think the community Coffee Talk is doing a great job - for ideas of how to base a convo around a product check them out.

I just recently started a community My Creative Outlet.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you stopped by.
