first off, concentrate on generating good content and stick to a theme- write about what you know and love. I suggest posting at the least twice a week. Also, start finding like minded friends on Twitter- follow sites you admire- ask questions, comment on their content and share their content.Start a "page" not a personal page but a business page on Facebook and start following other pages that you admire and comment and participate. If you want to build a community it is important to join and be active in other communities. That is the best and "authentic" way to build a real audience of engaged fans..
