The loading of BlogFrog web pages and widgets starting failing intermittently beginning at 11:13 AM Mountain Time this morning and the problems continued on and off for approximately 40 minutes. During that time communities and widgets would load correctly for several minutes at a time and then periodically fail to load. We were able to pinpoint the problem to a hardware failure within our hosting provider and the issue is now resolved.

We apologize if any BlogFrog users were affected. Because of the nature of the failure we are not able to determine exactly which communities may have been impacted. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you still notice any problems.

	Hi everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself - I just joined BlogFrog a few days ago and got my premium membership 2 minutes ago. I run a website for new parents, called Easy Baby Life (www.easybabylife.com) I just recently launched a community there (http://community.easybabylife.com) and really look forward to start interacting more with other blogging moms, dads or actually anyone interested in young children. I have mostly interacted with my visitor so far - which is great too, of course.

I'll probably hang out here quite a lot now to learn all I can from this community.

	Thanks for reading.

	Have a great day,

On Wednesday, October 5th, BlogFrog experienced significant downtime due to cloud site problems at Rackspace Hosting, one of the largest web hosts in the world. Some of you may have experienced intermittent problems with theblogfrog.com and your communities all day, and everyone was affected for almost three hours ending at approximately 4:35 pm Eastern time. We know this system outage has inconvenienced our many loyal users, and we are continuing to take additional steps to improve our technical infrastructure so that we are less affected by problems like this in the future. Thank you for your patience!

Hi, I am looking for help or advice. I just found in my mailbox like a hundred notices that one IP address left track-backs for about a hundred different posts on my blog. It has to be automated...not comments but trackbacks, like they linked or commented about them at their website. Will this affect my google rank? It looks spam-ish. How do I block this IP address? I have heard you can do that, but I am looking around on my dashboard and can't figure it out. I have a thesis theme, WP self-hosted.

I just migrated over to WP from blogger a few months ago, I am still a newbie.

 thanks.

	Hi

A while ago I embedded my community on a page on my bogspot blog. Over the weekend I moved my blog to a self-hosted wordpress. Now I can't see my community. If I click on the community link here at blogfrog it tries to take me to my old blogger blog which then redirects to my new .com, and then says it can't find the community.

I just had my blog redesigned and part of the reason I was so excited about it was that a custom favicon was part of the deal. (I was never able to accomplish producing a favicon on my own.)

However, after the design was done, the favicon that the designer made isn't showing up. When I asked her about it, she said it only shows up in "some browsers." I've checked in Chrome, IE and Firefox and it doesn't show up in any of them.

I also went back to the favicon discussion that was going on last year and clicked on some of your blogs that said you had added a favicon; many of your favicons aren't showing up either, at least in Chrome, which is the browser I use.

Wonder if anyone else has noticed this issue in Chrome or other browswers? I really would like to have a favicon show up but I don't want to keep on insisting that the designer fix it, if it's not fixable!

	Thanks

	Becky

For example, as a military spouse, I have searched keywords such as "Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Soldier, and Sailor." If these words are found in the title or Blog Frog Community description, your community profile comes up! :)

What keywords do you search to build your community?

	Hi all,

I love the writing/photography/connecting part of blogging but I am so very, very awful when it comes to the technical side of it all.

I know some of you are tech savvy so if you don't mind, let me explain a little predicament and see if anyone thinks a fix is possible.

About three months ago, I attempted to add a BlogHer ad to the area below the comments; they sent me directions as to to what "code stuff" to look for in order to insert the ad.

Sadly, I actually got it into my (deluded) head that I could handle this job on my own. Turns out I couldn't. I found the code they were referring to but when I tried to put it in the ad code, something glitched so I removed the ad code and ran from the room screaming. (You only think I'm kidding.)

Ever since then, people can still comment fine and I can read the comments; however, when I go to the page within Blogger that lists 50 or a hundred posts at a time all in a row?

Well, ever since I did the whole Glitching of the Code Routine, whenever I select a particular post on that page and click "comments," instead of being able to read the comments right there (like I used to be able to do) it takes me to the post. But it's not in the "original post position" which would have all the other posts below it. It's like it's on a page by itself and then when I scroll down to the bottom of the post, there are are no comments.

The thing is, I didn't change very much in the code so I can't see the fix being complicated. I just don't know how to find the problem.

I have the code instructions from BlogHer AND I also backed up my whole blog back in May (before this glitch) so I'm assuming the original code is included somewhere in the saved copy.

Sorry this is so long--as I said, I'll be happy to hire someone to look at it if you think you can help. I would be utterly ecstatic to have the problem figured out, especially since I'm wanting to install a new commenting system but afraid to do it before this code problem is fixed.

	I'm done rambling. I promise.

	Becky

	Hi Amazing Bloggers!!

First let me say you ALL inspire me. Next, I'll say that I'm VERY new to "serious" blogging and though I started my blog as a passion project/therapy I must admit that after reading a few posts in this forum about some people making a few grand on their blog a year, I'm curious: HOW? What should a beginner like me (blogging for 5 months and counting) consider as steps to take to start making money on my blog? How do I get started? Should I have a certain number of daily readers first? What are some steps? Sorry if these are silly questions, but if you could offer some free advice for a newbie like me it would be GREATLY appreciated. :-)

	Dear Madam / Sir,

We are the Love Animals Association team from Petrosani, Romania and we kindly ask you to visit us at: www.loveanimalsromania.webs.comin order to find out by yourselves the cruel reality faced by the dogs living in our rescue.

We have to recognize that we have chosen this way to contact you and ask for your support, whatever that may be, because our material and human resources are increasingly limited and the needs of our doggies were boosted with the cold season. Any kind of support is welcomed for our doggies.

Unfortunately, at present, we cannot rely on the collaboration of any sponsor and also the local community and authorities do not show much interest.

We truly hope that you will not remain indifferent to the pain of these helpless souls who do not deserve to be left aside.

Thank you for your attention and understanding and we believe that very soon the sun will shine for our doggies, too.

If you need more details about our rescue, please let us know.

	Yours faithfully,

	Love AnimalsAssociation Team

I remember awhile ago there was a thread of conversation starters, where people signed up and swapped comments on each other's communities and we became a support group for the smaller blogfrog communities. Well, I want to go visit you again!!!

Leave your link to your community and I'll stop by for a visit :)

I just noticed that in my community & on the community page, mine shows that I have 2541, but when I look at my profile & my friends page it shows 2819.

	Any reason for the difference?

	Thanks!

I recently applied to Glam Media and just found out I was accepted! They sent me a contract to sign full of legalese and I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I'd love to hear your feedback before I sign on the dotted line.

	VIEW PROFILE

I don't know if anyone would be interested in doing this - but I thought I'd throw it out there...

Is anyone interested in doing a virtual cookie exchange?

 Basically, my thought is this:

I would love to get a group of ladies together, and get all of their favorite holiday cookie recipes, and compile them.

If anyone is interested, all you would have to do is let me know on my blog. I'll compile them in a cool format and distribute them to everyone that participates...

Let me know. It could be a fun idea and a way to get some awesome new holiday treat recipes!

 Thoughts? Interest?
