Do you or have you ever taken a "break" from blogging? Why did you do it? Did you return to blogging refreshed and refocused? Did you lose readers?

Tell me about when and how you should take a blogging break.

I created blog pages about two years ago. Last year, I moved to our house in the countryside where my internet access is very limited. It allowed me to keep blogging but I got destructed with some social networking sites that it is where I spent most of my internet time then. I'm back in the city right now for a long vacation and internet time is unlimited again. Recently, I feel the need to blog. I revamped my blog pages and added new ones.

I do regret that I ever took a break. I should have kept it, write to it even once or twice a week. Next time, when I'm back to the countryside, I will really try not to miss blogging again.

What you could do before taking a break to keep from losing traffic, is create posts ahead of time and schedule them to launch when you would normally launch them.  Let them know that you're going to be away but expect the same content they can depend on.  It gives followers a sense of stability, and gives you time to breathe too (which we all need once in a while).
