How do you do it...physically?

I will speak for myself. I could use more sleep and apparently vitamins! I am dragging. You have any secrets...and if you tell it is exercise I will drop dead right here. ;)

Exercise helps, but only when I've got enough energy to get off the couch  ;)

I find that routines help a lot. And cooking - real food always makes life better.

This week is killing me, between last weekend's funeral mess and this weekend's con. Routines are off, we have no nursing while out of town...and so far the food is ok, but we're making sandwiches in our hotel room, which isn't going to work for long.

To  some extent, the fact that I *do* work full time helps - there's a mental break that way.

I get caught up on sleep on the weekends usually (routines again), but this weekend isn't looking promising. I was up until 2:30 last night trying to get Alex to sleep, while everyone else slept through it.

Not sure how I do it lol

It is hard. I do try to have a routine. I have been eating much healthier latley and yes, I started going to our community gym 2 or 3 nites each week. I have a wonderful husband who does help alot when he is home. I noticed since I have been eating and exercising I have more energy and things do not seem nearly as hard as before. I even sleep better during the few hours I am able to catch a night.

Me again.  I just thought of another thing.

My husband and I were shoveling the snow in our very long driveway one winter {exhausted but needing to git-r-done}, he turned to me and said "Slow and Steady Wins the Race".

I never forgot those words & I also apply them to my daily life.  By that I mean....we have a child to take care of that needs more than the average {medical needs, physical needs, all of the above} and it does get exhausting.  But if you just take it slow & steady....... you will get done what you need to & still have enough energy to keep going.

That and don't be ashamed to look forward to their nap time. hehe  You can take that time to get some rest or get a few things done.
