"Teaching Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" by Siegfried Engelmann; is what I am currently starting my 4 year old on.  He does pretty well with it most days, but he is having a really hard time with sounding the word out completely.  He has no problem with individual letter sounds, but putting it all together seems to be really difficult for him.  I was wondering if anyone else has used this book and could recommend some ideas or would even recommend some other curriculum that worked for your children better.
