Babywearing??

Started by Rhonda , author of Made In Secret 4/26/2010 9:33:49 AM
Since I'm over the halfway mark in this pregnancy, I am trying to get myself in gear to get ready for Baby Bito's arrival in September. I have several homeschool mama friends who have the coolest wraps to wear their babies in when we're on field trips, etc, and I WANT ONE!!

SO, has anyone tried this before, and if so, what brands/styles of wraps were your favorite?? Do you like the kind that tie or the kind that have the little plastic thing to hold the wrap together??

Babywearing is great! I have a Moby-style wrap a friend of mine made for me. It's a one-piece wrap that takes a couple times of trying to tie it to get the hang of it, but I LOVE it. I've tried the slings before and they didn't feel as secure to me. The best sling I tried was an Over-the-Shoulder Baby Holder. It's just a matter of preference tho really. Try some of your friends' out if they don't mind sharing and see what feels best to you. The only kind I wouldn't advise getting is the kind that don't adjust at all, like HotSlings. They are very momma- and baby- size specific. If you get one and your kid ends up smaller or bigger (like mine did!), then you have a carrier you can't use.
