Julie and Martin - All About Us

We are Julie and Martin.

You can get the whole story about who we are, how we met and why we've blogged for the past 11 years HERE. 

Or we can just tell you the basics.

We met 13 years ago when Julie from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky was a high school foreign exchange student in Nuremberg, Germany, where Martin grew up. Then she was a United States Airman. Then he was a German Soldier. Then we fell in love and got married in 2002. 

It's been an adventure ever since as we've moved from Germany to Italy to Washington DC, following Julie's Air Force career as a military writer and photographer as it took her from the Alps to the Pentagon, with time in Iraq and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Martin worked as atank commander, then a stay-at-home dad and Italian football player before becoming a bankerand then a stay-at-home dad again.
 
Along the way, we've been featured in some magazine, television and newspaper interviews which you can find under "In the News."
