Do you use Face Book to Promote Your Blog?

If yes, what do you do? I have a Face Book but am unsure how to utilize it. Any insight?

I just set up a Facebook page for my blog, similar to what Sarah Mae has for her blog (mine is at http://www.facebook.com/hoperoad). I add a link to each new post I publish. I invited many of my Facebook friends to "like" the page.

I think there are a few good reasons to do it this way:

1) Readers who don't have RSS feeds can stay updated,

2) You're giving your friends the opportunity to become a fan of your blog before they receive your updates (rather than just importing your blog to your regular profile),

3) It can become its own community.

I just set up my page this past week, and it's been a great tool so far.

I use networked blogs.

I also use Networked Blogs.  It's actually more because my friends requested that I let them know on Facebook when I had a new post up and that's the easiest way to do it.  :)

I use Twitterfeed to feed my FB page. It's key to not only link to your posts, but to also have interaction on your FB page. I use FB to read a lot of the posts from other bloggers that are time sensitive (such as grocery/drug store deals) since I only check my reader a few times a week. Also, if I have a post I want to share w/ my friends on FB, I "share" it on my personal profile as well from my FB blog page.

I also use twitterfeed, this updates my personal FB page but it also updates my blog's page that I have created.

I started by using Networked blogs, but to me that just seemed complicated.  Not sure why...but I just didn't like it.  Now I use a Facebook Fan page and enjoy the interaction I get there.  I think it's a great way to target those who don't feel free to comment on a blog for whatever reason.
