I am new to your blog but I am wondering if you coupon shop and if you have any secrets.  I am a couponer but Red Plum just pulled their coupons from our paper because they say they "caught on"  to what we were doing.  I didn't think we were doing anything wrong by buying items on sale and using coupons.  What do you think and do you have an opinion about this??  I would love to know Thanks!

I do coupon shop, but haven't for quite some time, December to be exact.  The grocery deals around here (very rural area with very few chains) are few, so when I couponed it was on our toiletries and cleaning supplies.  Basically, I Walgreened! :)  I do have a post "Walgreen's 101", that you can find at the very top of my blog under the header that will tell you the ins and outs.  Since I grew such a huge stockpile, I haven't had a need to go back, but the time is coming.

 

From what I had heard, Red Plum was pulling coupons due to the economy and "not a big return", or something to that effect.  I, personally, do not think that couponers are doing anything unethical, and I know that the companies know what we are doing.  As a matter of fact, I think that they welcome it since they are getting the products into our homes making us more likely to buy said product in the future.  The stores like it because they are moving product and being reimbursed by the manufacturer the value of their coupon.  As long as you are using the coupon exactly how it states, I see no issue.  Have you tried contacting Red Plum?
