I have a Canon Elph (PowerShot SD960 IS) that I bought for myself a few months ago. I really like it...it's small enough to fit in my purse but yet it takes really good pictures! Plus, my husband gave me a memory card with an obscene amount of memory, so I can shoot video with it, too!

I really like the Kodak EasyShare cameras.  They are very small and very user friendly!

I'm not any good at this at all, but my husband got me a camera for Christmas, and I love it.  It's really simple.  In fact, it does so many things, and I keep saying I'm going to read that dam book, and that was 2 yrs. ago. LOL  Anyway I have a Sony Cyber-Shot and it says Double Anti-blue technology on it, and Full HD 1080 - there ya go

I second the Kodak easy share, it takes great pics for a point and shoot and it's so easy to use!

I like Canon cameras, and they have some really great point-and-shoot cameras that take amazing pictures. Take a look at their Powershot cameras!

Cannon is good

My last camera before I upgraded to an SLR was a Kodak Easy Share. I loved it because it was super user friendly and light weight. I hated it because it was sooooooooooo slow to take a picture. That's why I invested in a SLR. I still carry my hubby's little water proof point and shoot in the diaper bag for those must have a camera times when we are out and about and need a camera with flash otherwise I use my iPhone. Good luck!
