I beg. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I have a giveaway up right now that has one taker signed up. I am pathetic at encouraging participation, yet have managed to put together a PR5 blog with a pretty good readership. I don't get it. Some one help! (Told you I beg.)

I haven't figured out the secret. I see some blogs that are really poorly written with oftentimes basic to clumsy points thrown in...and they will have 25 comments saying

"Wow...great post!"

Then I will read a moving and insightful post and it will have 4 comments.

I just try to let it go when it starts to eat at me. And I try to always, always, always leave a comment. And I try to respond to a comment by going to the site and commenting on their latest, or something that is interesting.

We're still new at this. But we find the more we network and answer other people's questions on their blogfrog, the more likely we are to get participation in our community! We are looking at a giveaway. I've seen this in action. But I think that you need to make sure you're ready with a good foundation of followers first ... another thing: I think people are more likely to answer controversial answers (though I'm probably not!)
