Getting to Know You!

Started by Veronica @ A Quiet Heart , author of A Quiet Heart... 4/14/2010 4:46:21 PM

Welcome to the A Quiet Heart community!  Let's get to know each other, shall we?  I guess I should start...

My name is Veronica.  I blog at A Quiet Heart.  I am blessed to be an at-home pastor's wife and mommy of one.

My husband, Jason, currently serves as the Associate Pastor at our church.  Although we have different versions of when it happened, we met in college.  This summer, we will celebrate 9 years of marriage! Our daughter, Hannah, just turned a very grown-up 5-years-old.

The title of my blog is taken from a quote by my favorite author, Elisabeth Elliot, "A quiet heart is content with what God gives. It is enough. All is grace."  And that is my desire - to have a quiet heart that is passionately obedient to God's Word, and joyfully content in whatever roles, responsibilities, blessings, and trials that my Heavenly Father sees fit to give me.  And that is my prayer for you as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  This community is completely new territory for me, so hopefully we'll have some fun questions and discussions in the near future.  But, for now, please, grab a cup of coffee (I am always brewing a fresh pot, and I'm usually willing to share), and introduce yourselves...

Hi Rachel!

Not sure how good I'll be at keeping up with it either... :)  Figured I would try it out, and...if it doesn't take too much time away from more important things (i.e., being a wife & mommy), it stays.  If it starts demanding too much time, I'm out. Kind of my motto these days. :)

Thanks for stopping by. I loved your blog and can't wait to read more of it!

~Veronica
