double stroller

Started by trooppetrie , author of Troop Petrie 7/22/2011 7:24:04 PM

we added a one and three year old to our family last month. I need a double stroller but am clueless on what to get. I like the sit and stand but really need to be able to buckle the 3 year old.

what are your suggestions?

Pam, I struggled with this one, myself! We had a cheap (as in, lower end model) Graco DuoGlider, and it sucked. It was like pushing a bus.

Then, I bought a used Maclaren side-by-side. It was "meh". Hard to maneuver 'cuz it was so wide.

I don't know...how 'bout we ask Twitter to see if anyone has any more suggestions?!

I have a Jeep side by side.  It's not as wide as most other side by sides and it's really easy to maneuver and open and close with one hand.  The only thing I don't like about it is that there isn't any basket underneath and I got really used to having that on my big single stroller. It's this stroller but mine is blue.  http://www.amazon.com/Jeep-Wrangler-Sport-All-Weather-Stroller/dp/B004HO5870/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1311426173&sr=8-2

The seats can recline, you just have to unclip them and then reclip on the side bars.  The canopy can also be removed and the seats have this cover that can be rolled up to reveal a mesh back, it gives the seats more air flow on hotter days.  I've had it for about two years and that stroller has gone everywhere with us, even on the sand, and it's still holding together great.

Do you ever find a good one? I'm in the market for one (We've had 2 Graco's and they've both been awful!)

When my kids were that age I used a double stroller that was the kind that was one seat behind the other.  I LOVED it.  It was easy to manuever and not wide so I could take it anywhere and get around very easy :)

Blessings
