Ugh. Probably one of the most heated conversations between
parents and kids, outside of curfews, is the The Great Chore
Debate. To assign chores or not, and what to pay.
To hopefully settle this once and for all, I have even resorted
to a poll on my blog so unbiased
people can tell me what is fair. Please take a minute and visit my
quick survey.
Any ideas?

I have been having crazy headaches in the back of my head. My friends kept telling me it is stress but they started before i had stress. A friend said i needed to go to the malll and let them do a 30 minute massage. she said she does it every time she gets a stress headache and it instantly goes away.

I have had great massages before so going to one of the places in the mall in public seemed weird. I went and almost cried the entire time. it hurt so bad. I assumed it was because i was so tense and tight. he was able to pop my back which even a chiropractor has had trouble doing.

I left in pain and thought okay start drinking water and it will be better. when i got home and took off my shirt it looked like i had rug burn on my back. Today i can hardly move and I actually have bruising on my back. I cannot believe how bad it hurts.

any suggestions? has this happened to you?

I'm wondering how often other parents read to their kids. Please share the ages of your children too. When my kids were young I didn't skip a day. I would read anytime they asked and usually read three short books each night. Each child would choose one book and I'd read all three. The child who chose the book would sit on my lap. Sometimes their dad would read one or all the books. (Dads really help kids love to read.) Moms do too, but somehow a dad reading a book is extra special.

My kids are 7, 7, and 10. I don't read aloud enough anymore. I have good intentions, but our routine isn't there anymore. I'd say I only read aloud two times per week now. Which is really sad since I write a blog about reading.

Okay friends...there's always some kind of "work around", right?!

I'm going to post the questions for this week here...feel free to answer them right here in the community or wait til Blogger is back up, but I just couldn't wait any more!

I'll post my answers in both places (once Blogger is back up...IF Blogger is ever back up)

	1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none? (From @ThisDaddys_Blog)

	2. Was your childs (children's) name a mutual decision or was it a debate? If you don't have children, do you plan on giving your spouse a say, or do you have a name you MUST have, regardless if your other half likes it or not?! (From @momtodh)

	3. What is your favorite type of weather? (From @TheSpunkyDiva)

	4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day? (From Sandy at "Pardon My Dust")

	5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet? (From Pam at "Troop Petrie")

Okay...hope some of you will join in this way! I'm off to do my answers!

Seriously I'm not kinding. I have four beautiful boys. Yes, I havent been around for quite some time. I had another sweet little boy 3 months ago.

I swore it was my last and I was completely okay with it. My hubby had a vastecomy 2 months ago. I have enjoyed all of my pregnancies but have always been ready for them to be over. I have always looked forward and enjoyed childbirth. My last one was also natural with a doula and it was fantastic. I said this time four healthy little ones was plenty. And my last pregnancy was a little tougher too. I have to count my blessings!

But after all that I feel so sad that it is so very official that my child bearing years are over. Am I the only one who seems to have reproduction permanently programmed into my brain.

Have you ever been tempted to tweet during a delivery, have you ever had to tell a mom to stop tweeting during her labor, do you have mom's who sneak outside for smoke, do you allow children in your delivery rooms, have you ever had to deliver a baby outside of the hospital, when someone finds out you deliver babies do they have a million questions, how do you avoid not taking pictures of all those precious angels

I love to find new recipes. I have found several on blogs. actually I get most of them from blog carnivals.

I normally will leave a note on someone's blog if I am going to copy it to my blog and then change how it is worded. But recently I saw someone post that she would prefer you not use her recipes because she hopes to make money from her blog one day. I totally think she has a right to do this and am NOT upset. She was not even speaking to me.

But it made me re think what I do. So my question is how do you know when it is okay to copy a recipe and post on your blog. And by copy I mean not exactly but same ingedients and with your own pictures.

I guess i always assumed if it was on your blog it was up for grabs. What are your suggestions and how do you copy a recipe. I think for now if I see a recipe i will go to google and find the same recipe instead of using the blogs recipe. Although I love linking back to blogs

Have you heard about the abercombe battle going on with there new padded push up bikini. When I first saw it on the today show I thought WOW. It is advertised for a 7 year olds.

But it got me to thinking. Just yesterday I was at Penney's and bought my 10 year old a padded bra. Please let me explain. First look for a size 38A plain bra and t is hard. I also got it because several of her shirts still show her buds in her regular bra. So I thought this would be nice for certain dresses. She had no idea that it makes her look bigger. Actually she does not love the thought of wearing a bra daily. I am re thinking my purchase after seeing how they advertise it. what is your thought.

Okay...so, soon (and very soon!!) I will be upgrading my camera!

Originally, I was set on the D300s...then, the D7000 came out and I changed my mind!

I decided I was set on the D7k...but now that it's getting down to the time when I'm actually gonna make the splurge...I'm wondering, is the D7k all it's cracked up to be?

What will be the biggest differences between the D300s and the D7k?

I wanted to post this in as many communities as I can for the blogs I most read and admire.

A friend of mine, Robin is in need of some serious help! Her daughter Hailey has been accepted into the Cleavland, Oh Children's hospital for testing this next week. She is five and suffers from several serious problems.

I am hosting a fundraiser on my blog to help them with their trip. They have the transportation and copays covered but need help with their lodging and food $$. Hailey was hospitalized over Christmas and they used their money then to help get her the meds she needed once she was let go.

Please stop by, help if you can and PLEASE pass this along! They only need about $700 to make this trip and I know with everyone's help we can make this happen!

	Thanks!

I read an article today today by my local paper. It's about a woman and her 2 male partners living in a polyamorous relationship. Eric and I dicussed it over breakfast and the whole situation perplexes me. I am not against it, the dynamics of it all perplex me. I don't know how one can not get jealous when their sweetie is canoodling with someone else. The fact that they all share a bed perplexes me even more. How do you know who will be zooming who that night? What are your thoughts on this?

I have an aunt who has some kind of mental illness...she is 53 years old, has never been diagnosed with anything, but clearly, there is something not right with her.

Lack of social skills, inability to hold jobs, high functioning, but not "normal", so to speak.

My two oldest kids, especially my 9 year old, are starting to notice and ask, "Why does N. do such and such?" "Why does N. seem sad?" "Why doesn't N. seem happy to see us?"

How do I explain, in kid terms, that some people suffer from mental illness without making them act differently toward her?

I hope I'm explaining myself well enough...
