My two kids and I were diagnosed with a rare, chronic, and life-threatening disease that isn't known to be genetic. My daughter's condition is mild, mine is moderate, and my son's is most severe. Since I am not able to work outside my home and my son is not able to attend school, I started designing blogs to help my family make ends meet. We have 54 prescriptions total--30 of which are used daily--and we must follow a special (expensive) diet in order to avoid the foods that make our symptoms worse. She came in crying and said how horrible that was, and next time she would say something. Sure enough, the same parent was yelling at their child (cussing this time), and she did say something to them. This caused a debate among other parents/coworkers about whether it was her business or not. I was just curious what others thought about this. As a daycare teacher, I have to say something if I see that on our property. But in the grocery store or at the library it might be a little harder for me. My primary concern is keeping the dishes and nebulizer cups clean. In the meantime my hardwood floors are filthy (sticky), my toilets need scrubbing, my carpets need to be vacuumed, my counters are covered in papers, insurance forms, mail, receipts, etc. My house needs help but I can't offer any help because I am overwhelmed with mommyhood and cystic fibrosis.Nathan will not allow me any time to scrub or organize.
